Located amidst the bustling Business Bay district of downtown Dubai, overlooking the Dubai Water Canal, is the Steigenberger Hotel. My family and I are quite familiar with the brand, having stay at their hotels in Germany, however we were excited to stay at this one during the festive period, being the first in the region. The hotel is conveniently located only minutes away from Sheikh Zayed Road, a metro station, and Dubai Mall – with front row views of the Burj Khalifa. Let’s take a closer look at our experience 🙂
GUEST ROOMS
We stayed in a “family room” which is actually 2 connecting rooms, both facing the beautiful Dubai Canal. The rooms are designed with very elegant and modern touches, and provide the ultimate comfort whether you are a business or leisure traveler. I always say the main point of any guest room is the bed, and trust me, this one hit all the boxes – it was the most comfortable and relaxing bed I have ever experienced! The bathroom was pretty amazing a well 🙂
RESTAURANTS
The hotel has a number of F&B outlets with cool concepts, but I was most excited to try Brothaus. The bistro / bakery is located along the corridor which leads to guest rooms, so the smell of fresh bread and pastries, is an unmissable sensation! The decor is SO cute and homey, with quotes scattered along the walls, touches of green scrubs, and colourful paintings. It has a view to the kitchen so guests can watch the bakers all day long. We enjoyed countless pretzels and cakes during our stay! Oh one more thing, it has an outdoor terrace with direct access to the Dubai Water Canal promenade, for those who wish to burn off the extra calories 🙂
Swim & Tonic pool bar and lounge is a great venue to enjoy refreshing drinks and has literally front row views of Burj Khalifa 🙂 It is located next to the swimming pool and offers several drink concoctions and yummy bites.
Overlooking Dubai Water Canal is The Backyard, an incredible street-art urban concept. The decor is laced with graffiti by famous artist t Ramy Elzaghawy, and the menu offers bites from South East Asia. The hotel puts on several events including movie nights, live bands and even visiting DJ’s.
Another cool concept is Cuisinero Uno, a tapas and cocktail bar with a massive indoor space, and terrace overlooking the city. It’s an ultra cool venue to enjoy specially crafted drinks, and once you get the sensation of the open kitchen, you will have no choice but to stay 🙂
WELLNESS
The hotel’s spa provides the ultimate oasis of calm amidst the bustling city centre, where my mum enjoyed a relaxing facial. Guests can enjoy a number of wellness facilities such as an outdoor lap pool, sauna, steam room, state of the art gym, and an open air Jacuzzi. It’s absolutely perfect for those “shop until you drop” divas 😉
Our 4 day stay, was incredible and checked all the boxes thanks to the incredible team who went above and beyond to ensure our experience was close to flawless. I am part of the hospitality industry, so trust me on this 😉 Have you ever stayed at The Steigenberger Hotel? Tell me all about it, I am already looking forward to my next stay!
